★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There're minimal requirement to order for every person at your table. Although this is not an unusual practice in tourist area of Japan, but when it lures you in with 100 Yen cake, then force each one of you to order 600 Yen coffee. I call it tricky.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Renoir are pretty much alike, but I have a little something special for this one. Not in a basement, it's usually quite. The nice surrounding probably brings some kind of charm to the place.

1. No one attempted to take our order until I walked to the counter with the menu.
2. I tried to order 1 drink + 1 toast set for the two of us. But I was told each person has to order one drink each. 650 yen and above for drink. I have been to fancy cafes in the city area and their drink are much cheaper than this?
3. The dirty, smelly environment is not worth the premium on the drinks. Period.
4. Toast set is served without any utensils? Bad service again. Especially with the price premium. I had to peel my own hardboiled egg and ate it with my bare hands like a barbarian.
5. There is no lemon juice in my iced lemon tea. I had to squeeze the slice of lemon into the drink. Thanks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like the classical music and the air-conditioning, but this chain is super expensive. Possibly geared towards rich Japanese heads of state, wealthy emissaries, Shinzo Abe or whatever. I really like air-conditioning though.
