★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 2002 on Monday evenings at 18:30 the temple used to open the meditation hall to visitors. Maybe they still do. Newcomers were given a brief introduction, all in Japanese, and then permitted to meditate with the monks. Great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple is my spiritual home. I lived next to it for a long while and would always return to it as much as possible when I didn't live in the neighborhood. I wish to live next to this temple again and permanently and hope Buddha hears my heart's desire. New Year's at midnight at this temple is an experience to remember, and I still carry in my wallet the good luck paper amulet thrown by the monks on that occasion. If you catch one, they say, good fortune is yours. I am patiently waiting, Juichimen Kannonsama!
