岡	岡ちゃん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桓武天皇の妃であった坂上春子姫が、平安時代初めの大同年間(806～810年)に出家して開いた高野山真言宗の寺院であり、坂上家の氏寺でもあります。境内の銅鐘は鎌倉時代の代表的な作で重要文化財に指定されています。また、室町時代に当寺の慶心と言う尼さんが地獄へ行って戻り、その様子を記した「よみかえりの草紙」や閻魔王が自ら刻んだという閻魔像と「宝印」が寺に伝わり、毎年5月18日のご開帳の時、おでこに閻魔様の「宝印」を押してもらえば極楽へ行けると伝えられている。 It is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect that was opened by Princess Haruko Sakagami, who was the princess of Emperor Kanmu, in the early Heian period (806-810), and is also the temple of the Sakagami family.
