河原町民憩いの場所｢千代川さくらづつみ公園」が整備されています。
公園は千代川、川沿いよりも高く盛り上げられた堅固な土手(つつみ)で、桜並木が美しく植えられ散策コースに持って来いです。川沿いに下りると家族で川遊びが楽しめそうです。
頭を上げて見ますと(霊石山)や(河原城)が見えています。何よりも千代川の滔々たる水量と流れの音を間近に実感できることがこの公園の最大の特徴であり魅力です。
四季の推移に合わせて公園の利用も推移します。近くに(かわはらラジコンサーキット)会場があり、季節には多くのラジコン愛好家が集い腕前を競います。また近くのアスファルトの敷地付近では(水防訓練)が出来そうな雰囲気があります。
｢千代川さくらづつみ公園」は河原町のありとあらゆる用途に対応する町民にはなくてはならない万能な憩いの場です。
