葦の繁った小屋に、菅の蓆（むしろ）をすっかり清め敷き詰めて、おまえと二人寝たことよ。
伊須気余理比売を宮に召したとき、狭井川のほとりの比売の家で一夜を過ごした日を思い出して詠まれたということです。
顕彰碑だけではなく、最も愛した女性と過ごした日々がこの地に刻まれています。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 記紀(古事記、日本書紀)に残る初代天皇神武天皇が宮崎から奈良の地を征服するまでの東征の場所が各地に顕彰碑が建てられています。山の辺の道沿いにあるのですが、やや離れているので興味がなければ見逃しそうな感じです。ちょうどカフェ「花もり」さんの南側の道を10mほど西へ行きます。
碑の裏面には「神武天皇 伊須気余理比賣命（いすけよりひめのみこと）の御家ありし狭井河之上に行幸あらせられたり聖蹟は此の地付近なりと推せらる」。とある。 神武天皇の皇后は三嶋（大阪府三島郡）の溝咋（ミゾクヒ）の娘・比賣多多良伊須氣余理比賣（ヒメタタライスケヨリヒメ）、別名富登多多良伊須須岐比賣（ホトタタライススキヒメ）、『日本書紀』では媛蹈鞴五十鈴媛命である。『古事記』によると、《是（ここ）に其（そ）の伊須氣余理比賣命の家、狭井河の上に在りき。（神武）天皇、其の伊須氣余理比賣の許（もと）に幸行（い）でまして、一宿御寝（ひとよみね）し坐（ま）しき》とある。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 偶然見つけてあっと驚く大きな石碑。神武天皇がここ迄やってきて、三輪一族の王と出会った所なのかな。観光地三輪とはまったく別の世界があります。石碑の背後に見える三輪山の姿が素晴らしい。
A big stone monument that I found by chance and was surprised. I wonder if Emperor Jimmu came here and met the king of the Miwa clan. There is a world completely different from the tourist destination Miwa. The view of Mt. Miwa behind the stone monument is wonderful.
