It seems that there is no general admiration ? The name is as it is ... ❔

As the name suggests, it is the temple from which the name Chiekoin-dori is derived.

When I went through the road in front of this place, I found it in the temple to see and hear for the first time, I did not know honestly (^ _ ^;) m (_ _ _) m I want to go into the m and ask my husband As it was OK, when I entered it, it was a very fresh, clean and quaint temple. I feel that it was cleansed and I felt calm (# ^. ^ #). It's a very good temple I've been waiting for! Please go by all means \ (^-^) /

It is probably a famous temple that is also a street, but there seems to be no public worship.

I can't understand why I'm abandoning my visit. Originally the temple should be opened. Closing it is quite closed and only negative for Kyoto. Well, the priest here wouldn't see this post.

A quiet temple of the Jodo sect. It is indispensable for visiting graves, but the garden is always in good condition.

Chie Koin, which is familiar as the name of the street, is a temple of the Jodo sect called Nemenzan Heikeji, and in 1294, Kanehira, the founder of the Takatsukasa family, one of the five regents. (Kanehira) built it as a private temple with Nyoku (Nyoichi Kokushi) as the foundation. Initially, it is said that there was a temple ground in Okazaki. Later, the tower was arranged by a superior Mon-eki, and it became more and more prosperous as one of the Kyoshi Shichikoin. However, it was completely destroyed by the Nishijin burn in 1730 (Kyoho 15) and the two great fires in Tenmei 8 (1788), and then gradually revived. Was also abandoned and reduced to its current scale. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1855, and the statue of Amida Nyorai called Amitabha is enshrined as the principal image. In addition, there is a statue of Rokutan Jizo in Jizo-do, which is said to be made by Ono no Takamura. There is also a small shrine dedicated to Benzaiten. This is the height difference. Originally there was Jurakudai here, and it seems that Chiekoin moved to the Edo period after Hideyoshi rejected it. It seems that there was Chiekoin-dori, but it was widened due to the evacuation during World War II, and it seems that Chiekoin is now what it is. So, this height difference seems to be the height difference after Jurakudai. It seems that the height difference here at Chiekoin-dori is also the same.
Chiekoin-dori was a street where I often walked, ran in a car, and lived with a former Kano. Until today, I didn't know that there was a temple called Chiekoin. It has been 40 years since I was born in Kyoto. As long as it's embarrassing. Today, I thought I would go through the front and worship, but it is prohibited to enter without permission except for Danka believers, visiting graves, and related parties. I gave up worshiping and went home.
