Chie Koin, which is familiar as the name of the street, is a temple of the Jodo sect called Nemenzan Heikeji, and in 1294, Kanehira, the founder of the Takatsukasa family, one of the five regents. (Kanehira) built it as a private temple with Nyoku (Nyoichi Kokushi) as the foundation. Initially, it is said that there was a temple ground in Okazaki. Later, the head of the tower was arranged by a superior Mon-eki, and it became more and more prosperous as one of the Kyoshi Shichikoin. However, it was completely destroyed by the Nishijin burn in 1730 (Kyoho 15) and the two great fires in Tenmei 8 (1788), and then gradually revived. Was also abandoned and reduced to its current scale. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1855, and the statue of Amida Nyorai called Amitabha is enshrined as the principal image. In addition, there is a statue of Rokutan Jizo in Jizo-do, which is said to be made by Ono no Takamura. There is also a small hall dedicated to Benzaiten. This is the height difference.
