★ ★ ★ ★ ★ good for kids. Really expensive. If you go with a friend and stay for like one hour it'll easily go over 6000yen... If you don't mind the price, the place is actually very nice. There is some owl poop on the sofa, but it's ok. The owls are quite cute, the big ones are a bit scary. They let you play with them using some kind of puppet they like to bite/carry. And you can also gently pat (depending on their temper, some of) them. Most customers were foreigners, and the staff apparently understands some basic English. It's a bit far from the station, close to the love hotel area. And they sell various owl souvenirs and garage-sell-like-items at the entrance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely seems like the owls are given more love and attention than most places, but there is something that feels very wrong about tying a cord to their feet. Would be better to lower the price & not tether them and force them down to pet etc. That way people can observe. Having educational material about owls and their treatment might also help... The snowy owl did actually seem to like getting his beak petted, and the Big Boy Owl was receptive to pets as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes it's kinda sad to see them chained, but how else are you going to pet them or not get possibly attacked? Like everyone has said, it's very relaxing and really cool to see these owls up close and personal. Time will fly with friends, trust me. Pay a little more to handle one and or feed them (only during a special time). There's seven owls in total and the manager seems to really have care for them so I can't complain. There's also not much to do, but it's good to visit once in awhile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Truly an experience. Booked through Klook for a 3pm slot (1 hr). Sipping tea, watching the owls flying around the cafe grabbing their soft toys was really interesting! U can pat the owls, but just be careful of Harry's Snowy Owl. Think twice if u fear flying birds.
