神保町の靖国通り沿いにある、レトロ感のあるビルの1階にある洋食屋です。カレーがメインなので、カレースタンドだったのかもしれません。
こちらの生姜焼きが某雑誌で「日本一美味い生姜焼き」のお店として掲載されたのを聞いて、利用しました。定食になっていて、ちょい足しでカレールーもオプションで付けられます。強火でサッと焼く生姜焼きは柔らかくて香ばしく、確かにかなりのレベルだと思います。
営業時間がそれほど長くないのでランチ利用が確実ではないでしょうか?

チキンが一つゴロリと入っていて、普通でもわりと辛め。辛さは無料で足すことが出来るそう。
スタッフさんは活力は見られない。最初営業時間外なのかと思ったほど。食器やカトラリーもあまりしっかり洗っていないのか、年季が入っているのか、汚れが目立つ。気にする人は気になると思う。
カレーの味は美味。他、別のお客さんが頼んでいるメニューも香りして、美味しそう。
味は間違いないお店。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ カウンターオンリーのストイックな洋食屋さん。搾りに絞った厳選メニューでしょうが焼きが有名ですね。そんなわけで昼食利用に立ち寄りましてしょうが焼きを頂きましたよ。大判サイズの豚ロースに甘味の広がる生姜ダレ。ご飯のおかずとして研ぎ澄まされた味わいが空腹の胃袋をガッチリキャッチしますなぁ。ある種、こういうので良いんだ系のノスタルジック感が内装からも漂っているのが味のワンポイントなのかも。次はカレー付きで頂こうかな。ごちそうさまでした。
