★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 津山線の福渡駅迄は旭川に大体沿って線路が走っている。県道も川に沿って片側二車線と広く交通量も多い。備前原駅は停留所の駅で周囲は法界院駅よりも人家は少なくなっている。
この春のダイヤ改正で上り始発列車の津山発車時刻が繰り下がり、そして吉備線と共に全列車ワンマン運転に変更された(全駅ICOCA対応の吉備線は全扉開閉されるが津山線は従来通り後ろ乗り前降りが基本。ラッシュ時間の列車は全停車駅で全扉開閉)。
A railroad runs roughly along Asahikawa to Fukuwatari Station on the Tsuyama Line. The prefectural road is wide with two lanes on each side along the river, and there is a lot of traffic. Bizen-Hara Station is a stop and the surrounding area has fewer houses than Hokaiin Station.
