芸備線制覇の為に訪問しました。 新見方面から三次方面の乗り換え時間が1分くらいしかなく、遅延が発生すると乗り換えが出来なくなる心配になりましたが、乗り換える旨を運転士さんに伝えると乗り換える客がいると連絡するとのこと。 列車も遅延なく備後落合到着して安心しました。 10年くらい前ですが、あの時の運転士さんありがとうございました。

JR芸備線及び木次線の接続駅である無人駅。秘境駅の1つにも数えられる。2013年9月の初訪問以降、これまでに何度か訪問したことのある、個人的に大好きな駅の1つ。 芸備線・三次方面、同・新見方面、そして木次線と三方面の乗換駅であり、かつては栄えていたというが、現在は発着する列車本数も少なく、駅の周辺も廃屋が目立つ。14時半頃に、上述の三方面の列車がホームに揃う時間帯があり、ある鉄道漫画では「14時半の奇跡」と呼んでいました。この時間帯と、観光列車「奥出雲おろち号」の発着する時間帯は比較的多くの利用客を目にすることが出来ますが、それ以外の時間帯はきわめて静かな雰囲気で、味わい深い駅です。 私が最後に訪問したのは2019年8月下旬。木次駅から乗車した「奥出雲おろち号」で当駅を訪問。その後は木次線の亀嵩駅を訪問後、再び当駅に戻り、20時台に発車する新見方面行き列車までの待ち時間、夕方、そして夜間の当駅の雰囲気をゆっくり味わうつもりでいましたが、朝から降っていた雨が次第に強くなってきたため、芸備線の運休もありうると判断し、計画を変更、乗ってきた「奥出雲おろち号」の折り返しで木次へ戻りました。その後、宍道駅から乗車した特急「やくも」で宿泊先の新見駅にたどり着いた時には、芸備線の新見方面(東城~備後落合間)は運休になっていたので、正しい判断でした。 夜間の備後落合駅を訪問するのは、また別の機会になってしまい、今年・2020年こそはと思っていましたが、新型コロナ感染拡大防止のため当面は県外への旅行は控えざるを得ません。新型コロナが落ち着いたら必ず再訪したいと思います。

You can see a relatively large number of passengers during this time and when the tourist train "Okuizumorochi" departs and arrives, but at other times, it is a very quiet atmosphere and a tasty station. .. The last time I visited was in late August 2019. We visited this station by taking the "Oku Izumo Orochi" from Kisugi station. After that, I visited Kametake Station on the Kisuki Line, and then returned to this station again to wait for the train leaving for the Niimi area departing at 20:00, in the evening, and to enjoy the atmosphere of this station at night. However, as the rain that had been raining from the morning had gradually increased, we decided that the Geibi Line could be canceled, so we changed the plan and returned to Kisuji at the back of the "Okuizumorochi" that I had boarded. After that, when I arrived at the accommodation destination Niimi Station by the limited express "Yakumo" that I got on from Shinji Station, the Niimi area of ​​the Geibi line (between Tojo and Bingo Ochiai) was out of service, so it was a correct decision. It was another opportunity to visit Bingo Ochiai Station at night, and I thought it would be this year or 2020, but I have to refrain from traveling outside the prefecture for the time being to prevent the spread of the new corona infection. ボランティアの永橋さんが木次線の説明をしてくださいました(各方面の列車が集まる時間に来られるようです)。手作りの駅のジオラマがすごかった!!(←1回目) 木次線乗りつぶしのため2度目の訪問となりましたが、冬期運休でした(´・ω・`) でも、悪いことばかりでなく、代行タクシーの方からいろいろな観光案内などなど面白話が聞けたり、たまたま長橋さんに再開できてお話がきけたり、芸備線のカープ号に出会えたりと思い出深い最高の1日になりました。木次線の乗りつぶしのため3回目の訪問もありそうですw

広島県の秘境駅で最近は、ファンが増えているようですが中々の寂れ具合でした。芸備線と木次線の枝分かれ駅ですが、両方合わせても十本余りしか列車が来ません。 写真は、8:12分の最終列車ですが、新美方面からの折り返しには三人ほどお客さんが乗っていましたが皆さんそのまま降りずに折り返してゆきました。 歩いて十分余りの所におでんうどんで有名なドライブインおちあいがあります、令和時代に生き残る昭和の食堂です。 2021/4/24 転車台を見忘れていましたので、再訪してきました。 既にかなり前に朽ち果てた転車台でしたが、SLが走っていたころがしのばれます。ごく可愛いものですが、これが使われていた頃に見に来たっかったです。

無人駅です。芸備線と木次線が発着する主要駅ですが、どの方面も列車の本数が1日5本以下と閑散区間となっています。 が、昼間の14時台だけは3方向から列車が到着し、観光客で賑わいます。 駅周辺は自然が多く何もありませんが、駅前の国道を備後庄原方面に15分ほど歩くとドライブインがあり食事もとれるようです

木次線、芸備線に乗るべく備後落合駅にたどり着きましたが、元々栄えていたかのような広々とした空間にポツンとあるホームが哀愁漂います。乗り換え待ちのために駅舎の展示物を見ていたところ、元機関士の方に声をかけられ、最盛期を再現したジオラマで駅の歴史を語って頂けて大変良い思い出になりました。雪の影響で木次線の出雲横田〜備後落合が代行バス、代行タクシーでしたが、時間通りで問題ありませんでした。
