★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 滝への登山口は、県道47号線と６号線の分岐がある新居浜市瀬場地区の瀬場橋の隣の民家の横。(すぐ近くに東赤石瀬場登山口がありますが、そちらから八間滝に行くのは、かなりキツいです。)
その後は、別子山発電所から伸びている白い配管を目印に急勾配を登り、登り詰めたら、横に伸びている黒いジャバラの配管沿いに進めば、最奥部にある八間滝に到着します。
水量は、少なめなので、数日間、雨が続いた後に訪れると凄いかも。
この日は、よく晴れていて、滝の下部に綺麗な虹が出ていました。
The entrance to the waterfall is next to a private house next to the Seba Bridge in the Seba district of Niihama City, where the prefectural roads 47 and 6 branch off. (There is the Higashiakaishi Seba trailhead in the immediate vicinity, but it is quite difficult to go to Hachiman Falls from there.)
After that, climb the steep slope using the white pipe extending from the Besshiyama power plant as a landmark, and after climbing up, proceed along the black bellows pipe extending sideways to reach the innermost Hachiman waterfall. ..
The amount of water is small, so it might be great to visit after a few days of rain.
It was sunny on this day, and a beautiful rainbow appeared at the bottom of the waterfall.
