Ito yokaido has a grocery store which is OK prices but does not offer a great selection of vegetables. However, their selection of fish and meats is pretty good. Bell Mall has performances and activities nearly every day at certain times. Usually by the Bell square. There are MANY places to eat most of which are really good. The food court is always busy which is a good sign.

It got everything you need like grocery, daily necessities (100yen shops), clothes, 1000yen barber, cinema, even phone and sim cards. It got good restaurants and a lot of non-pork meal. Parking spots are plenty although sometimes they're not enough on the weekends. You can also take bus to and from Utsunomiya station.

You will find variety of shops and variety of restaurants. It also has Toho cinema which includes 5D movie shows as well. Restaurant called "Tokyo Shigezo Shibuya" is a must visit as it includes several dishes made only of Tofu (Fried, boiled, liquid etc.). Stone Marked shop is alos popular.

There's a regular bus from Utsunomiya Station and I think it also goes to the Mashiko pottery area on its route too.
