"Delicious, bilingual, off the beaten path" This place is a little off the beaten path on a small quiet street but I spotted a sign board out on the corner. This place seats 18 at tables of 3 or 4 plus counter seats so it's probably best for smaller groups. The food was good. We got nuggets, burgers, & drinks and were happy with these. The bun, meat, vegetables were all good and well received in my group. I got a jalapeno topping on my egg and cheese burger and the jalapeno was cut into smaller pieces than a lot of other burger places but it worked well to create a subtler flavour not overpowering the peppered hamburger patty. The thousand islands like sauce used was a little sweeter than I expected it to be but it worked flavour-wise. The burgers came with a side of fries which were pretty standard and decent but the portion size was a good fit with the burger size. Other reviews wanted a larger portion of fries and I don't know if they've adjusted since then but the portion was good for me. All in all, I'd recommend this place for gourmet burgers and would like to come back again and try their sandwiches.

Was craving some ‘western food’ while on holidays and stumbled across this gem. It is hidden in a back alleyway so a little hard to find but easy with google maps. Burgers were to die for - I had the double cheeseburger and was not disappointed. Price is good and service is amazing. Was quiet when we went for an early dinner (thurs 6pm) but soon after started getting busier. Small restaurant so might have to wait at some point. Highly recommended if you feel like you’ve had 12 too many ramens lately! ??

They burgers and fries are really good. If you get extra fries (pictured), it’s only 123 yen! Prices are very much on the same range of other burger joints, and actually fairly affordable considering location. The place also looks really cool inside! We came on a Saturday afternoon and didn’t have to wait at all!

I went on a Friday at lunch time without this app I never would have found it. But I did smell it before I saw it. There was a line out the door. I waited about 15 minutes outside, then another 20 after ordering to get the burger. I was tempted to order the broccoli cheese burger but went with the double cheese instead. The fries were ordinary & just warm. The burger was very tasty though. It was a reasonable price.

I had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant this past Saturday, March 26, 2022. My wife and I dropped by the restaurant to place a take out order. The door was locked and we waited for the restaurant owner to ackowledge we were at the door. When he opened the door he asked us to come in to be seated. We informed him we are placing a take out order. He said we could not wait inside. My wife is a native Japanese speaker and placed a take out order for three avocado burgers. It was a rather chilly evening, so my wife asked if we can wait inside the restaurant, but the request was rudely and inconsiderately rejected. So my wife and I literally walked two doors down to a cute wine bar called “Bistro Le Chat Noir”. We were pleasantly greeted and seated . We enjoyed a glass of wine at this cozy wine bar/restaurant while we waited. When we went to pick up our order at Authentic Burger, we were surprised to see only two avocado burgers instead of three burgers. I believe the owner was confused when we placed our order since we ordered two without cheese and one with cheese. I was thinking, if that was the case, then why didn't he ask for clarity or at least make an effort to report our order back to us. He was not that busy, so this not an excuse. He only had one customer inside his burger restaurant. I was okay with the order not being correct. The problem arose when my wife asked him about the order and that it was not complete. My wife stated we had placed an order for three avocado burgers not two. The owner was quick to jump on the defensive and rudely stated my wife was to blame for this confusion. We were immediately alarmed at his lack of customer service skills and even more alarming was his tone and demeanor. He blatantly and openly stated it was all my wife’s fault. Since his response was very rude and aggressive, when he offered to make the other burger I, obviously, said "No". He never apologized or made any effort to apologize. I was appalled to have experienced this low level service from this type of restaurant in this area of Tokyo. After this incident, my wife quickly and thoroughly read through other reviews and noticed there were many other reviews that pointed out this restaurant owners’ lack of respect for people and rude customer service, rather lack of customer service. I must say the burger quality is good but we will never go back to this establishment since we have experienced this type of treatment. This lack of customer service is unacceptable. We will gladly give our business to other restaurants who actually care about their customers and have respect for people.

Went by for dinner with my family. (I speak Japanese). The person at the door said that all the tables were set up for two and that they could only take the three of us if I was okay with my 4yo son sitting on my lap. The restaurant was completely empty. So, only even numbers of folks can eat here. Odd numbered groups…you are on your own. We were obviously not welcome and went elsewhere.

I used to be a regular here when I was living in Tokyo (a few years ago). But then the owner/chef screamed in my sister’s face for entering the restaurant instead of waiting outside!? Anyway, I recently went back for the first time in years. The attitude hasn’t changed. Rude and unwelcoming. By the time we left, the waitress had started gobbling up her lunch, sat at the bar with her back to us, and didn’t even say bye or thank you. Also, be careful - the owner/chef overcharged me, not by much, but by about 400 yen. I thought about going back and making a fuss, but had felt so unwelcome that I just left it. All in all - a truly cold and unwelcoming vibe. Steady on the neuroticism, Mr chef/owner: Signs everywhere telling people that phones are banned?, screens between people sat opposite each other on the same table!? Wow. “Good vibration”? Nope!! The burgers themselves are good (but not as good as I remember them). The fries taste worse than anything you could find at a fast food chain like McDonalds or Burger King.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in Tokyo. Super juicy and cooked to a beautiful medium doneness. The fries were crisp and the extra side of jalapeños made it pop. The service was fast and friendly. An absolute must try when you’re craving a burger.
