薩	薩摩律子ばぁば on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2020-10 近くのホテルに2回程、宿泊した事がありますが、こちらの存在を全く知りませんでした。テレビ番組での紹介を観てビックリ。行ってみたく行きました。今は湯けむりが出てるだけでしたが、昔の熱海にとり、大湯間歇泉の重要性を感じました。オールコック滞在記念碑、トビーの墓碑、市外通話発祥地の碑などもこちらにあります 2020-10 I've stayed at a nearby hotel twice, but I didn't know it existed at all. I was surprised to see the introduction on the TV program. I wanted to go. At the moment, there was only steaming, but I felt the importance of Oyuma intermittent spring for Atami in the past. S	Shigeru Furusawa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 数分に一度、温泉が湧き上るちょっと珍しい場所。熱海駅から坂を下って15分くらい真剣に歩いた先にあるカンケツセン。知ってます？カンケツセンって？大辞林によると: 一定の時間をおいて周期的に湯やガスを噴き上げる温泉。宮城県鬼首や北海道の登別、米国のイエローストーン公園などのものが有名。とのこと。漢字で書くと「間欠泉」。ここ熱海にもあるんです。ひっそりと、ホテルの裏手に。でも、しっかり力強く温泉を噴き上げてる。地球の息吹を感じることができることでしょう。一度行くといいと思いますが、さすがに何分も滞在するようなところでもないので、2〜3ターン見たら美味しいもの食べにレッツゴー（笑）！ここ、日本で初めて県間を跨いだ市外公衆電話が繋がった場所なんだとか。驚いたのは、グラハムベルが電話を発明して13年後のことだとのこと。だった13年…これって凄くない？！その名残の公衆電話も、ひっそり設置されてます。 A slightly unusual place where hot springs spring up once every few minutes. k	ken chiba (ちば県。) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 熱海市役所から歩いて数分、坂の途中にある間欠泉です。直ぐ隣にはホテルがあり数メートルも離れていないため、かなり違和感があります。私が見に行った時には温泉水が壁などから滴り落ちていたので「タイミングが悪かった～このあと何時間くらい待つんだ？」と思いましたが、説明書きを見ると「大正１２年には既に枯れていて、現在は人工により４分ごとに３分間噴湯させている」との事。４分くらいなら待つか～と思っていると、何処からともなく機械の動く音がｗそして温泉？が噴射されましたが、う～ん、どうでしょう？間欠泉というよりは水の出が悪いケルヒャーかなぁ。此処に間欠泉があったというのは間違いないみたいですが電気代、水道代を使ってまでやる価値があるというと疑問です。実際、私がいた十数分の間に他に見に来た人はいなかったですし。観光地という面では少し弱くなりますが水は止めて石の壁だけでも良い様な気がしますね。 It is a geyser in the middle of the slope, a few minutes walk from Atami City Hall. A	Ali Emre Kepenek on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting little place. Nothing amazing, but still worth to see if it's on your way. The tombstone for a poor doggy is noteworthy. Apparently passed away because of exposure to intensely hot water.
W	Wendy Will Travel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great to see this important historical geyser but I was sad that it is now operated by a pump. Volcanic activity and earthquake has caused it to not flow so a pump will make it go. Still very interesting to see.
