A shrine 200 meters away from Kameyama Observatory. It's small, but the view is well recommended.

再建するときは寄付します。

気仙沼から大島に渡り、亀山の頂上にあるのが愛宕神社。山の頂上付近まで車で行くことができる。そこから徒歩10分ぐらい、さらに頂上に向かって歩くと見えてくる。道は特に舗装はされていないので、ハイヒールなどであれば難しいかもしれない。島民の安寧を願って島の全てが見渡せる場所に設置されている。小さな神社だが、大島に行くことがあったら是非とも足を伸ばしてほしい。敬虔な気持ちになれる場所だ。夕暮れ時に行ったが、気仙沼の夕陽に照らされた愛宕神社に復興祈願と亡くなられた方へのご冥福をお祈りし手を合わせてきました。
【Ehime Shrine top of the Kameyama】
Ehime Shrine is located on the top of Mt. Kameyama, from Kesennuma to Oshima. You can drive to the top of the mountain. It will be visible as you walk towards the top for about 10 minutes on foot. The road is not particularly paved, so it may be difficult if you have high heels. It is set in a place where all of the island can be overlooked in hope of the well being of the islanders. It is a small shrine, but I would like you to extend your legs if you ever go to Oshima. It is a place where you can feel pious. We went at dusk, but at Ehime Shrine illuminated by the sunset in Kesennuma, we prayed for recovery and wished for those who died and joined their hands.

It is a short walk from the observatory. The view from here is also beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 亀山頂上には展望台、愛宕神社、東屋、レストハウスがある。
東屋は2021年5月現在立ち入り禁止となっている。
展望台からは気仙沼の街並み、大島大橋、太平洋が見渡せとてもいい景色でした。
土日祝日は亀山駐車場から送り迎えのバスが20分間隔で出ている。
At the top of Kameyama, there is an observatory, Atago Shrine, Azumaya, and a rest house.
Azumaya is off limits as of May 2021.
From the observatory, I could see the cityscape of Kesennuma, Oshima Ohashi, and the Pacific Ocean.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, buses pick up and drop off from the Kameyama parking lot every 20 minutes.
