Asama. You can enjoy beautiful scenery from 3 viewpoints while strolling along the promenade and feeling the great outdoors. Since there is no toilet in the facility, we recommend that you stop by the toilet at the Asama Volcano Rest Area at the back of the parking lot before entering.

To use it, pay 300 yen for adults (high school students and above) and 100 yen for children (junior high school students and elementary school students). (Free for kindergarten and nursery school children and younger) Not only Mt. Asama but also Mt. Azumaya, Mt. Shirane, and Mt. Tanigawa can be seen on the promenade, so you can take a walk very comfortably. You can also see beautiful flowers depending on the season. Although the scale of the center has been reduced, you can see the exhibits at the Volcano Museum (currently closed). A few old motorcycles from the time of the memorial hall are also on display. It seems that the staff will guide you if you wish. The correspondence of the staff was very good, so I would like to go again.

It says that the materials of the closed volcano museum are organized and displayed, but honestly, this exhibition material is not good. The space is small and the score is small. The closed volcano museum is regrettable. Rather than that, we recommend the promenade that can be reached from the back of the building. You can feel the power of lava formation and nature in a more natural way than the Oni Nanchara Garden, which is a nearby tourist destination. If you're going to push demons, please consider visiting here. Especially, please stop by the viewing platform view point in the back. The 360-degree view from Mt. Asama to Mt. Tsumagoi and Mt. Shirane is a must-see. Especially if you have seen Mt. Asama in Bura Tamori, please visit the viewpoint in the back. You will get a better understanding if you visit Bura Tamori after seeing it again. (Since it is played repeatedly on the TV in the view center, you can review it there as well). Although it is a hypothesis, the steam explosion that occurred when the lava flow from Mt. Asama came into contact with the water of the swamp that once existed, the debris flow from there to the Kamahara area, and the mud flow to the Agatsuma River. Looking at the site, it looks like a depression under the viewing platform, and maybe there was an explosion there ...? Geographically, it is exactly the same, and you can get a glimpse of the intensity of the eruptive activity. There is a staircase that goes out from the back of the visitor center and leads to the promenade, but it seems that the height difference of the staircase is exactly the thickness of the lava that flowed in the great eruption of Tenmei. The visitor center stands on the pyroclastic flow traces, from which you can observe the thickness of the lava flow on a vertically rising cliff. Next to the promenade, there is a secret road for demons. This way is recommended for returning from the viewpoint. Although it is a mountain road, you can observe the more natural Asama lava and the state of the forest formed on the lava. However, it is not possible with sandals and high heels. Be sure to wear sneakers and mountain climbing shoes.

Although it is a small building, you can learn about the history of the eruption of Mt. Asama and the current natural environment. Also, a mini guide by the staff is good. Please feel free to ask the staff when you stop by.

The view of the promenade at the back of this building and the road to this place were very good, but the staff were unusually friendly and familiar with flora and fauna, and I enjoyed talking. It is a multi-purpose staff like Yamaha Tenere who is not at the level of a clever clerk who is sometimes present, and even though he is not a motorcycle rider, he talks about motorcycles when he is a motorcycle rider. A mini museum just built in 2021! It seems that this and Yamba inherited the soul of the closed Asama Volcano Museum. If Onioshidashien is a culture and requiescats, this is a place for nature observation and learning. The entrance fee of 300 yen is cheap. All three of the staff are friendly and not only the history of the eruption of Mt. Asama, but also the details of wild birds and plants, and it is fun just to talk to them besides taking a walk outside. There were paintings and coloring books so that children could enjoy themselves, and both adults and children could have a good time.
