It seems that there was an area called Daikansui, which was a natural monument designated by Asaka City since the late Edo period. The Hiirazuka Tumulus is nearby and you can see that people have lived there since ancient times. The surrounding area is an apartment built in a residential area. It's a place that makes me feel like living in a place like this.

I began to think about Asaka City and its topography. I learned that the height difference between the Musashino Plateau and the Arakawa Lowland is about 40m. Focusing on the phenomena that are causing the difference, and knowing that there are plans that can be used to create a "landscape," it sometimes came to be understood. With this in mind, I decided to write it. Recently, I decided to take a detour on the way from Shiroyama Park to Asaka Station, thinking that I often go to places where clear water is springing up. This place is also a city designated historic site (Asaka city designated natural monument). Judging from what was called "Daikan Water", I thought that it would have been an important place for people in the area that had been using it for "Irrigation water". In order for the clear water to spring out, there must be some water, such as a sloping forest beside it. Certainly, there is a "slope forest" and "precious flora and fauna" (Asaka City Cultural Property Guide) is also inhabited. However, for the first time visitors, it seemed a little bit unpopular. I searched around to find where the spring water was coming out, but it was off limits. There was only a tag showing where the spring water was coming out. It was really small and seemed to be a good place for a cool night or a break for a walk in the neighborhood. I was going down the slope, so I climbed up the main road and returned, but I realized again that it was a very steep slope. Not only here, but where spring water comes out, there is almost always a steep hill nearby. The slope from Shiroyama Street toward Shiki has a steep slope at both Shinmeizaka and Kanekozaka near Takine Park. "Wataya no Saka" on Nihonmatsu Street should have been steep. In the past, spring water was flowing near the cotton shop hills. It had disappeared due to land development. According to the story I heard at that time, it seemed that I changed the path of spring water to make it flow to sewage. With this in mind, if my memory is correct, it seems that there was more water than before. The reasons may be different for each individual. It was just a little, but when I walked, I felt that there was something I could see. Asaka City has become a “Landscape Administrative Organization” as of May 1, 2015. Then, in October of the same year, the “Summary Edition” of the “Asaka City Landscape Plan” was published. I sometimes take a stroll along the Kurome River, but even if I didn't know that there was a plan like the above, it seemed that I felt it was somehow maintained. It can be understood that spring water is part of the plan. Photos before maintenance were displayed on the signboard. Certainly, there is a change, but I don't want it to be "this place was once here."

I decided to go see the autumn leaves of the roadside trees in Asaka, so I stopped by on the way. In the old days, fireflies flew and played in the river. Now it is protected from the development of the surrounding residential area, and it seems to be a place for walks and relaxation for the neighbors. My parents' side is similar, and it makes me think about various things. Hopefully the greens and clear streams will remain loved by people.

It is said that there is a tradition that it is called like this because the daikan once cooled his legs. It seems that it was recently developed as a park. The accumulated water seen from inside the park is stagnant, and it is hard to say that it is beautiful as a compliment, probably because it is a muddy bottom, but when you leave the park and follow the flow of water, watercress etc. The place where it grows naturally can be confirmed, and it was so beautiful that it could be described as a clear stream.
