In addition to the main building, the site is dotted with a number of ancillary buildings. The landscape composed of these buildings and the surrounding thickets and fields is truly simple and calm. You can learn about the life of a farmer in Musashino throughout the site while strolling through the undulating land peculiar to the plateau.

The building tag of that time remains, and the age is clearly known. It is said to be the oldest farmhouse in Saitama prefecture ? In addition, there are fields and mansion forests around the house that retain the remnants of those days, and it was good to enjoy the rural scenery of Musashino ??? In order to prevent crime in the main building, the living room and the guest room are designed with many lattice windows and walls facing the outside of the facing room, and there is also a friendly custom of protecting infants from animals such as foxes. I'm glad I was able to find and understand the feelings of the people at that time ?? Also, one of the highlights is that it was built using a hatchet instead of a plane, which was undeveloped at that time, and the room with a bamboo floor (bamboo drainboard floor) has changed and it is quite a must-see ? ?? There is also a "room" that stores sweet potatoes and harvested vegetables outside, which is also one of the highlights ? Like a farmer, there are also warehouses, barns, and wooden huts ☺️ The mansion forest seen from the room on the bamboo drainboard floor is exceptional and dangerous ??? Also, the ceiling is cool so don't miss it ? Nice flowers bloom in the vicinity of the small Inari shrine in the mansion forest from the beginning of winter to spring, and it is fantastic and fascinating, but the place is an exclusion zone, so if you have the permission of the administrator, it will be barely possible. You may see it, so please consult us ? I'm glad we were able to see it for the time being ??? The barn is not open so you can't see it so don't be afraid ? There weren't many spectators, so it was nice to be able to relax and go up in the room ?? However, it is located in a remote area far from the station, so it is best to travel by bus, taxi or car ??? It is designated as a national important cultural property ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨

You can see nationally designated important cultural properties for free. The grounds such as buildings and gardens are clean and it is a valuable place where you can quietly see the remnants of old farmhouses. It was a pity that I couldn't enter the main building because a part of the thatched roof was damaged by the typhoon, but I think it's worth a look just to see it. The parking lot is well maintained, so it is a recommended spot when you come nearby.

A break that feels different from usual at everyone's old folk house in an extraordinary and unrealistic space. Even though it's near, it makes me feel like I've traveled somewhere far away in a circle. Moreover, it's free, and you can stand for as long as you like without worrying about the flow of time. Talking to Mr. Takahashi, who is Mr. Takahashi, will really heal your tiredness, and after a relaxing break, it will be an elegant and luxurious time. This is my most recommended resting place. The scenery around me and the feeling of the garden in the back mountains still remain as they were, and I think Mr. Takahashi is really lucky. Even if you don't understand this story well, the atmosphere that you can understand if you go. Mr. Takahashi, please come and visit us. We promise a happy moment. Continue

The old Takahashi family house here had a nostalgic feeling because it looked like my grandmother's parents' house when I looked at the thatched-roof house, the earthen floor, the hearth, and the kamado. ️?

A farmer who is said to have been in this area. Probably because it was a decent farmer, it has become a historic site, but I wonder if he wasn't so rich ... On the contrary, it may be unusual for it to be preserved in this way on this scale. You can feel the remnants of a real life feeling.

Old dwelling. It will be studying. Two years ago, a lot of hanging chicks and chicks were displayed in the peach festival, but at this time of the year, I was lonely with only one set of seven-tiered decorations ☺️ But now the plum blossoms are in full bloom and it matches the house and it has a very nice atmosphere ?

Takahashi Farmhouse is a great place to come with young children. It's a short bus ride and then a 6min walk or so from Asaka Station, depending on which bus you catch. It's hard to tell from photos but the Edo-era thatched roof family farmhouse sits on a huge plot of land. There is a bamboo grove, vegetable fields, fruit trees, lots of flowers, a well, outhouses, the place is humming with cicadas in summer. There are nostalgic toys for kids to play with and young kids will love crawling or running around on the tatami. It's free entry and there's an unhurried feel to the place, just make sure you bring lots of insect repellent in summer and autumn as the mosquitoes are very hungry. One of the best minka on the Tobu Tojo Line.
