寺の創始はわかっていないようで、中興が上述のように1640年とされている。
境内南側の谷には大阪市内唯一の天然の滝とされる「玉出の滝」がある。
2005年の改修により大きく変貌した。それ以前あった本堂は石段を下りた所、「玉出の滝」の傍にある納経所の2階に仮本堂として移され、旧本堂の場所は全て墓地になってしまった。
The view from the Kiyomizu-dera stage is wonderful.
It seems that the origin of the temple is unknown, and it is said that Chuko was in 1640 as mentioned above.
In the valley on the south side of the precincts, there is "Tamade no Taki", which is said to be the only natural waterfall in Osaka city.
It has changed significantly due to the renovation in 2005. The main hall that existed before that was moved down the stone steps to the second floor of the sutra office near "Tamade no Taki" as a temporary main hall, and all the places of the old main hall became a graveyard.

You can see the top of the temple from far a field and the closer you get the more impressive it gets.
There's quite a few buildings within the temple area to visit including a terrapin pond showing hundreds of turpins in two different areas.
The main temple charges 300 yen to get in but the rest is free to visit.
Recommendation
Well worth an hour walking around the grounds.
