Apartment Hotel Shinjuku - Shinjuku City

The Apartment Hotel Shinjuku is a great place for a extended stay in Tokyo. Shinjuku station is only a 3 minute walk away. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is next door which I wonderful all year around. There are many tax free shops in this area as well as fashion stores and coffee shops. 711 and Family mart are at the end of the block and plenty of restaurants only a stones throw away. Apartment Hotel Shinjuku is perfectly located for the on foot traveler, and there is a paid parking lot on the same street for those with wheels. As far as the hotel goes, you couldnt be in better hands. I find the staff to be very cheerful and helpful. They know a wide range of languages and can make excellent suggestions for the area. I found my room was very comfortable and it was easy enough to adjust the tempature. The kitchen set up has enough dishes/pots ect for one person. The front desk has extras should you need them. I also found the bed very comfortable. There is a laundry room on the first floor. Also the staff can send and receive luggage from the front desk using yamato delivery service. Rubbish bins in the hall on each floor, as well as a large in room trash can. There is weekly cleaning by requesting the day before. The wife was solid and each room has a code door punch so no need to carry around a room key. *** My only Cons are: -There is absolutely no place to hang clothes hangers or store clothing. -The pillows get flat very easy, which is hard for me as a side sleeper. *** These are just minor inconveniences I was able to work around. My room was a newly renovated room on the 3rd floor. No elevators, btw. No shower toilet either. My stay was for 13 days. This was my second time staying with Apartment Hotel Shinjuku.

Prime location. Cosy. 7 minutes walk to Shinjuku station. 1 minute walk to a 7/11. Trendy industrial interior design. Good sized room if used mainly for sleeping. Kitchenette with a fridge to have food and drink in reach. Air conditioning unit cooled the room down in minutes. New towels everyday if needed. Staff spoke good English. Would definitely stay here again on return to Tokyo!

Most hipster Japanese hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is a converted apartment building tucked away in skinny lane ways in the back of busy Shinjuku. Each room is appointed with antique furniture. Sure they are a little rough around the edges but I felt very comfortable during our stay. The receptionist was a sweet heart and great to talk with.

The best thing about this place is the location, almost right next to Shinjuku station. That means you are connected to the whole of Tokyo while having shops and restaurants on your doorstep. The rooms are pretty basic and VERY small, as advertised. I would recommend this place for solo travellers in the lower mid-budget range; basically it's one solid step up from a hostel.

Amazingly central, just off Times Square very near Shinjuku Railway Station. My single room was quiet and small with tiny kitchenette including fridge and shower room, and rather odd furniture, but comfortable bed with clean linen AND new towels every day! Secure number lock on room door. Communal microwave on landing. Overall ideal for those on a budget. The 2 members of staff were helpful and spoke English. Edited and upped to 4 stars! Recommended.

It's nice to find originals. My host was very helpful. He carried my bags to the room seeing how exhausted I was from fighting the rain in the typhoon. The entry is full of minimalist industrial art. The hallways make you smile. The first notice of the room is its industrial feel with more great converted industrial art pieces. The room is efficient and the bed comfortable. The clean bathroom has a soaking tub and my tired bones will enjoy that. Pleasant rest.

Wonderful minimalist/steampunk place...clean, good internet connection, with a perfect location.. highly recommended..:)

Great central location, but off the main road and therefore nice and quiet. Comfortable, clean and friendly staff!
