★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aomori station is small by Japanese standards but still busy. Shopping centre is good with nice cafes and restaurants. Aomori bullet train station is outside town centre and is huge because it has to accommodate the train which is usually 16 carriages long.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A conveniently placed mall in central Aomori. It’s great especially if you use the local trains, but parking is a bit pricey. There’s a variety of clothing, food, and books here. Starbucks is also a good place to kick back if you’re traveling. The building sorely needs more Western toilets for men though.
