★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 青森のウォーターフロントを訪れる多くの人が行き交うワ・ラッセ西の広場ですが、
ヒストリーサークルの中心にある説明板が無かったら、残念ながら ヒストリーサークルの前に立ち止まる人は殆どいないかもしれません。
説明板があるお蔭で「なんだろう」と説明板に目を向け、その後で、銅版をぐるっと見回し「なるほど」といった感じです。
青森市ヒストリーサークル。
２億年以上前の青森大地の誕生から東北新幹線の新青森駅の開業まで、青森に起こった主要な出来事が、37枚の銅板に描かれ、直径が5メートル程のサークルの中に収められています。
確かにサークルの中心にある説明板と合わせて見ると分かりやすいですね。
じっくり見るとなかなか面白いです。
船(青函連絡船が就航)や飛行機(青森空港の開港)や新幹線(東北新幹線の新青森駅開業)などの銅版絵は、子供達がみても分かりやすく描かれていました。
