★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 万治元年(1658年)以降に岩本に鳥取藩の御倉ができた頃から大谷池干拓や引水、新田開発計画が開始です。
農民の誓願は古来から飢饉のない安定した米の収穫、五穀豊穣と家族の健康です。この信仰心の現れが「穴観音」で最初の場所は古墳(小畑一号古墳)の中でした。崩れる心配がある原因で平成2年に現在地に移動です。
「穴観音(駟馳山峠)」はこうした生来からの誓願に加えて特に安永年間(1772~1781年)に(和田得中)の孫、忠太が発起して大谷や近郷の有志により、穴観音境内に(新田開発者)と銘記とあります。
初代和田得中が没して36年が経過しての銘記ということでしょうか。
「穴観音」は薄暗く目が暗闇に慣れるに時間が少し掛かります。
全面に九体、左右に十二体の三十三体一糸乱れのないお姿です。
ただただ手を合わせました。
ここにも先人たちの息吹きを感じました。

Peasants' vows have been stable rice harvest without famine, fertility and family health since ancient times. The manifestation of this belief was "Ana Kannon", and the first place was in the Kofun (Obata No. 1 Kofun). I moved to my current location in 1990 because of the fear of collapse.
In addition to these native vows, the ``Ana Kannon'' is created by Chuta, the grandson of (Wada Tokunaka), especially during the Anei era (1772 to 1781), by the volunteers of Otani and the nearby village. There is an inscription in the precincts (Nitta developer).
Is it an inscription after 36 years have passed since the first Wada Tokunaka died?
"Anon Kannon" is dim and it takes some time for the eyes to get used to the darkness.
There are nine bodies on the entire surface and thirty-two bodies on the left and right.
