W	WJ “Gotama” Choi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 나라 현 아스카 히노쿠마 마을에 있는 오미아시신사는 방직, 토목공사, 수리공사 등에 기여한 백제인들을 기리는 곳이다. ‘오미아시신사가 있는 장소는 옛날 히노쿠마지(檜외寺)라는 절이 있던 절터였다. 히노쿠마는 백제에서 온 아지사주(阿智使主)가 살았던 곳이라 전하는데 이곳 신사는 그를 제신(祭神)으로 섬기고 있다.’ 여기에 언급된 오미아시신사의 제신 ‘아지사주’는 우리에겐 낯선 이름이지만 백제인으로 ‘일본서기’(720년)에까지 등장할 정도로 중요한 인물이다. 서기에 따르면 아지사주는 409년 아들 도가사주(都加使主)와 함께 17현의 무리를 이끌고 건너왔으며 부자(父子)는 모두 왜에 귀화해 새로운 씨족인 ‘야마토노아야(東漢)씨’를 이뤘다고 적고 있다. 한반도 도래인들의 흔적은 오미아시신사 주변에 있는 또 다른 유적지에서도 확인할 수 있었다. 신사에서 걸어서 20분 정도 가면 나오는 그 유명한 ‘다카마쓰(高松) 고분’이다. 일본 국보인 이 옛 무덤은 1972년 가시하라 고고학연구소가 이 일대를 조사하다 발견한 것이다. 일본 유물에서는 그동안 볼 수 없었던 고분 벽화가 부장품들과 대거 쏟아져 나와 일본 사회는 ‘전후(戰後) 최고의 고고학적 발견’이라며 발칵 뒤집어졌었다.
