Akutsu Hachiman Shrine has the only tower in Okitama. It was established in 860 when Jikaku Daishi built Amidado and Kinzoin. The 11th century Minamoto no Yoshiie splits Tsurugaoka Hachimangu in Kamakura to pray for victory. In this way, Shinto and Buddhism training deepened, and a three-storied pagoda was erected in the 17th century during the Edo period. The current tower was rebuilt at the end of the 18th century. At the time of the event, the area around Akutsu Hachiman Shrine may be lit up, so it is very spectacular. If you climb the mountain from the right side of the main shrine, you will reach Okunoin in about 15 minutes. The time of autumn leaves is a masterpiece. If you go further, there is an observatory overlooking Takahata Town, and you can go straight to the Hayama Kofun. Here are some highlights from the information board in front of the Takahata Town Folk Museum. (1) Kobomizu: A spring that Kobo Daishi pierced the ground with a cane while patrolling the country. Similar legends remain throughout the country, especially in water-impaired lands. (2) Amidado ruins: According to the old paintings, the Amidado, which was built in 860, was in this place. ③ Bell tower ・ ・ ・ The bell does not exist, but the three-storied pagoda at that time is placed there. Under the temple, one character and one stone sutra was delivered. ④ Itabi: Two itabi, represented by the Okitama type. It has been relocated in front of the local museum and is estimated to have been built during the Kamakura period. ⑤ Grandfather stone ・ ・ ・ Two megaliths lying along the approach to Akutsu Hachiman Shrine. It is said that the grandfather tried to dedicate the torii gate, but it was not built due to the obstruction of the evil spirit. ⑥ Amida Nyorai Makaibutsu ・ ・ ・ A pair of Makaibutsu carved on the flag stone behind the main shrine of Iwakoma Inari Shrine. Established in the 17th century. ⑦ Yamanaka Shinmei monument ・ ・ ・ In the 18th century, when Taroemon Yamanaka, who was the deputy officer of Yashiro-go, encountered the Great Tenmei famine, he appealed to the shogunate for the plight of the local people and rescued him by applying rice. There, people erected to preserve his virtues. ⑧ Mahayana Myonori Stone Sutra Tower: A tower that shows that each character and stone sutra, which is a copy of the Lotus Sutra scripture, has been delivered. Towers with similar inscriptions can be found all over the country, showing an explosive epidemic in the early modern period. Photographing month: September 2018, March, September, October, Reiwa 2

It looks like a very historical shrine, Due to the absence of Mr. Miyaji from several years ago Aged deterioration is noticeable here and there. It seems that it is managed, but I wonder what it was ... felt.

2020/11/12 Dog trip / Travel to North Japan seeking autumn leaves After staying at the Yamagata Zao Onsen Ski Resort, stop by at the next break point. In the morning, the fog was deep and it was fantastic, but it was a visit while the temperature was low. There are also ancient burial mounds around this area, which is an irresistible place for those who are devoted to archaeological research. As a nearby facility, there was the Fudoki no Oka Archaeological Museum, which was a very high-quality point where you can refresh yourself.

It is a shrine that stands quietly. It is a place of Shinto Buddhism training consisting of shrines and temple ruins. I want to worship quietly. There are roadside stations and parks nearby, so you can relax.

It is a shrine in Akutsu, Takahata Town. It is a shrine with a long history that originated from the founding of Ennin, a Jikaku Daishi in 860, and was revered by the local influential people and the Date clan after being promoted by Minamoto no Yoshiie from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu. You can see the magnificent three-storied pagoda, but it is a shrine with many attractions that conveys the glory of the time, such as the Gagakuden in the late Muromachi period and the thatched shrine in the middle of the Edo period.

While walking around the roadside station, I saw a historic building (three-storied pagoda) and took a walk. I came here because it was free to see the shrine and the three-storied pagoda. The three-storied pagoda is not a modern one, but a well-preserved structure! It seems to be difficult to save. It seems to be lit up, so it may be amazing except at night. The shrine was well preserved with a deep structure. Since the stone steps are not that far away, I was able to walk in about 10 minutes. It was a shrine where you can feel the taste and history. I didn't go to the paid history museum this time, but I regret that I should learn about the history and origins.

There is no fee, no office, and no staff at this shrine. In addition it is a rare example of a remaining Shinto shrine with a well-preserved Buddhist pagoda, which were largely destroyed when shrines and temples were separated in the Meiji period. This, along with the fact that few people bother to visit here, give it a spiritual feel absent at many other places that cater to tourists. Went in the late afternoon in September and was awed. Imagine it's beautiful in all seasons.
