Set menu 8000yen for 2 person, great meat.... Worth it...

Simply one of the best yakiniku restaurants for the money that I have been to in Japan. Was a bit difficult to get in over Golden Week even calling days in advance, so reservations highly recommended. The two-person set is only 8000 yen (drinks not included) all together and has a really good variety of cuts as well as salad, kimchee, etc. Bonus points for all beef being sourced from Akita farmers. Not to be missed!

I visited this restaurant, as it was both on my list of restaurants to visit after seeing images of tasty meat, as well as it had been recommended to me many times over You had to have reserved a table to get in, or at least that was the case on a Saturday and I recommend you do it anyway. We had a table reservation initially at the counter, but as we arrived at the restaurant we were asked if we would like to be seated at a table instead. So we did, and after that it was time for a feast The atmosphere was great. People were seated on the floor in their own tatami rooms and on the tables. Everyone was smiling and enjoying a wonderful meal. The staff was kind and didn't seem to be in a hurry, which was a nice surprise to see in a Japanese restaurant. We had chosen a course set menu, which came with various kinds of meat, a starter and a dessert. The meat was one of the best I've had to date, and everything else was up to the same standard. It truly is one of, if not the best restaurants to eat meat in Akita The prices also surprised me. Everyone had told me that it's a super expensive restaurant, but looking at the menu I wouldn't say so. If you go with a group of 4 people (exactly), you can get a set menu + a drink of your choice for around 3,000 yen, which is more than reasonable. For 2 people the set menu was 8000 + any drinks you order. It is worth the price! So, gather your friends and go enjoy a nice dinner!
