In 1664 (Kanbun 4th year), Katsuko (childhood name is Chosuke), the younger brother of the third Naganuma castle owner, Shibata Katsutoyo, established the Akanuma branch family by separating 3000 stones of Akanuma from the castle owner. Eventually, it was picked up by the Hatamoto of the Shogunate, and the territory of Akanuma became a place of knowledge. It is said that the area where the current Akanuma meeting place, Enmei Jizo and storehouses are located was the residence of the Akanuma branch family. The second generation, Katsushige, is said to have been confiscated from his territory (Akanuma) in connection with his grandfather (Katsuko's father) being exiled for crimes, and his family was cut off. Then, at the beginning of the 18th century, Amidado was built in this area, and eventually the Hanabayashiyama Rensei-ji Temple of the Jodo sect of the West was erected. However, it seems that the successors disappeared after the Meiji era, and it was wrecked by the Naganuma earthquake and then dismantled. There are still a group of tombstones and stone towers on the south side of the meetinghouse.
