★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I read about the restaurant chain days ago and my wife made a dinner reservation and paid from Hong Kong. On April 1, 2018, my wife and I drove here from Mount Yoshinoyama and parked our car at Basement 1 of Garden City. We were very happy to see that the restaurant’s seasonal plate of April was decorated with cheery blossoms！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Traditional kaiseki Michelin starred restaurant located above Honmachi station. Dishes are delicately prepared and presented on beautiful lacquered dishes. Courses are based on seasonal ingredients and dishes have subtle and well balanced flavours. Service is formal but not intimidating or stuffy (staff was very patient and friendly). Would definitely visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ simple tasty dishes presented really nicely on traditional plates. presentation of food was good. staff was polite and explain the dishes. Personally i think if Ajikitcho Bumbuan wanted to get another star they could reject bookings if kids were brought to dinner as they are quite noisy. also mention to patrons mobile phone calls should be taken outside would have been nice. fav dish would be caramelized yellow tail main.

Though it’s a Michelin starred restaurant, I found nothing spectacular. It wasn’t bad, but most things tasted ordinary and home made. Not the experience I expected for the price.
