If your not a ramen connoisseur, you wouldn’t be able to tell the different so.... go for Yuzu Ratanmen instead ! It tasted like Tom Yam soup to me and I liked the sour flavor a lot! At the restaurant, they played top40 from 2000s. It’s def a fun place to have ramen for sure!! You can slurp and dance at the same time ?

Not only does it have a convenient location in one of the best neighborhoods in Tokyo, it is a delicious and unique ramen that stands out among the rest. It offers many light but extremely flavorful varieties suited for many palettes of ramen taste. It is very friendly to foreign guests with menus offering English. I was there during the busiest time of the year (Cherry Blossom/ Hanami) and the wait time was not long, they move the lines fast even when it is busy. The staff is incredibly helpful and patient. I’ve tried many ramen places all over Tokyo and Afuri would be one of my favorites I would recommend to tourists and locals alike. Go try it!

Popped by 15min before noon. 15min later, the place was packed! Placed my order through the vending machine, walked to my counter seat and passed the waitress my order. Ramen was freaking delicious. The texture of the ramen is perfect. The soup has a distinct yuzu flavour and the sliced pork is grilled so well i had to order an extra slice.

Their specialty is yuzu shio ramen (japanese lemon salt-based chicken broth noodle) the taste is light and refreshing. Comes from the thin noodles, chicken-oil and herbs soup, and the toppings. No oily taste left even after you drink all the soup. The pork cubes also great, minimum fat part and just right thickness to be chewy and soft at the same time. Go for it for your first visit. You have the option to change the soup with a bit thicker broth, and to change the meat into chicken. Since the soup is chicken based, then no pork being served in the bowl. The tsukemen (dipping noodle), is basically the dry version of their specialty. But the soup is a bit different since they put sweet soy sauce to enhance the taste. You can pick to be served cold or hot one. The cold one will be so refreshing in the summer. I ate it while raining in the evening, and it is still refreshing. Overall, a bit more expensive than other ramen, but I think worth every penny for the experience. Oh, and also...yes I ordered 2 bowl for me. It is that good.
