大野田官衙遺跡は，市の南部にあり，地下鉄富沢駅の北東約400mに位置する。笊川と旧笊川に挟まれた自然堤防上に立地する。面積は約55,400㎡である。大野田古墳群，六反田遺跡，袋前遺跡の範囲と一部重複する。富沢駅周辺の土地区画整理事業に伴いこれらの遺跡の発掘調査が行われたところ，幅3～4mの大溝が，真北方向を基準にして，東西約196m，南北約259mの規模で方形に巡らされていることが確認された。大溝の区画内からは真北方向を向いた掘立柱建物跡が，大型のものも含んで6棟，東西対称の形で検出されたことから，何らかの官衙遺跡であると考えられ，平成21年(2009)に大野田官衙遺跡として登録された。

The Onoda Government Site is located in the southern part of the city, about 400m northeast of Tomizawa Subway Station. It is located on a natural levee between the Zaru River and the former Zaru River. The area is about 55,400 m2. It partially overlaps with the range of the Onoda tumulus group, Rokutanda site, and Fukumae site. An archaeological excavation of these sites was conducted in connection with the land readjustment project around Tomizawa Station, and a large groove with a width of 3 to 4 m became a square with a scale of about 196 m east-west and about 259 m north-south based on the true north direction. It was confirmed that it was being circulated. From the inside of the section of Onoda, the remains of excavated pillar buildings facing due north were detected in 6 buildings, including large ones, in an east-west symmetrical shape, so it is considered to be some kind of official ruins in 2009. It was registered as the Onoda Government Site in (2009).
