この後方においてある丸太は、平住橋撤去工事の際に川底から引き揚げられたものです。かつての横十間川は、上の写真のような材木が浮かび、木の香りが漂う中で颯爽（さっそう）と木材を操る「川並」の姿がありました。
時代の変遷とともに川並の姿は見られなくなりましたが、川並の仕事から生まれた「木場の角乗（かくのり）」と「木場の木遣（きやり）」は、民っ俗芸能として今に引き継がれております。
 There is a monument and it is written as follows.
The log behind this was pulled up from the riverbed during the Hirazumi Bridge removal work. In the past, the Yokojukken River had the appearance of "Kawanami," where timbers like the one in the photo above float and the scent of the trees drifts, and the wood is manipulated with lightness.
The appearance of Kawanami disappeared with the transition of the times, but "Kakunomori" and "Kiki" of Kiba, which were born from Kawanami's work, are nowadays folk performing arts. It has been taken over.
