★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 『馬入（ばにゅう）』…相模川の河口付近は「馬入川」とも呼ばれています。平安時代はこの川を浮橋で渡っていましたが鎌倉時代になって橋が架けられました。
建久9年（1198年12月27日）、橋の渡り初め供養の際に源頼朝の馬が突然暴れ、馬もろとも川に落ちたと言う故事が『馬入』の由来と言われています。
ちなみに頼朝は落馬ののち体調を崩し、建久10年（1199年1月13日）に死去しています。

It is said that the story saying that the horse of Yoritomo suddenly ramped at the beginning of the bridge's first ceremonial drinking in the 9th year of Kagu (December 27, 1198), and that the horse dropped to the river was the origin of "horse-in".
By the way, Yoritomo lost physical condition after falling horse and died in the 10th year of construction (January 13, 1199).
