★ ★ ★ ★ ★ その昔、江戸時代、川舟による物資の運搬が盛んな時、久宝寺及び八尾の村への荷おろし、舟積みに使われた、船着き場跡です。近くに真宗大谷派の八尾別院、大信寺が有り、京都の本山、建物が焼失した時、此の地の別院の建物を分解し、此処から京都に運びだし本山仮御影堂として移築されたと伝わります。桜の季節になると、此より北へ川沿いに桜並木が続き夜にもなると、提灯に火が灯り多くの人が夜桜見物にと集ります。川のたもとには、休息所もあり、また湊を照す常夜灯の灯篭も有り、往時を偲ばせます。
