K	Kei Nantonaku on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 北目城跡は，市の南部にあり，JR長町駅の南東約1.5kmに位置する。標高約9mの自然堤防上に立地し，面積は約128,000㎡である。これまで道路建設や個人住宅建築工事などに伴い6次の調査が実施されている。特筆すべきは近世初頭の堀跡である。この城は慶長5年(1600)の関ヶ原の戦いの頃から仙台城に移るまでの，伊達政宗の居城として知られており，調査によって確認された堀跡もこの頃のものと考えられる。堀跡は規模の大きな堀に小さな堀が複雑に取り付いているが，これらが同時にあったものか時期的な変遷を示すものかは不明である。大きな堀の規模は，上幅10～14m，深さ3mで長さは180m以上である。また堀の底には，複雑な段差に加え高さが1.2mにもなる「障子」と呼ばれる壁が築かれている。 The site of Kitame Castle is located in the southern part of the city, about 1.5km southeast of JR Nagamachi Station. It is located on a natural levee at an altitude of about 9 m and has an area of about 128,000 m2. So far, the sixth survey has been carried out due to road construction and private housing construction. Of particular note is the moat traces of the early modern period. This castle is known as the residence of Date Masamune from the time of the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 to the time when it moved to Sendai Castle, and the moat traces confirmed by the survey are thought to be from this time. The moat trace is a large moat with small moats attached intricately, but it is unclear whether these were present at the same time or indicate a temporal transition. The scale of the large moat is 10 to 14 m in width, 3 m in depth, and 180 m or more in length. At the bottom of the moat, there is a wall called "shoji" with a height of 1.2m in addition to complicated steps.
