You can walk up a little from the back of the Asahiyama Kanzeon office, but you couldn't go to the observatory-like building because there was no road on the way and it was dangerous at night. If you want to see the night view, the view from the parking lot in front of the office is very beautiful and recommended.

Asahiyama Observatory overlooking Nagano City. It's a little-known place, but I think it's the closest to the city and the best view as a spot overlooking Nagano city. It's such a good beauty spot, so I think it's okay to make it an observatory that Nagano City can easily climb with a little more maintenance, but it's almost untouched now, and in winter it's not easy to arrive because the snow blocks the way. As infrastructure development, road width that can be passed alternately, cable cars and ropeways like Mt. Inasa and Mt. Hakodate, or fashionable cafes and towers on the observatory, etc. I personally think that it is okay to develop something that is a tourism element, but after the landslide of Mt. Jitsuki several decades ago, I was reluctant to discipline tourism using the mountain. I think it has become a target. In the era of high economic growth, Nagano City built Omine Castle on Mt. Omine, and built a zoo and hot springs on Mt. Jitsuki and even a ropeway, but it may have been a dream era from now on. .. As a local city, it passed the subway before Sendai, and it also went underground on electric wires, which was rare at that time. It has become an unattractive city where even one of the Tawaman is not built. Speaking of sightseeing, the usual Zenkoji Temple, Togakushi and Obuse. The rest is buried without being looked at. Nagano City is full of good points, but it's a waste. Asahiyama is one of them.
