★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山門をくぐり目隠し銀杏の横を通り抜ければ、観音堂の境内は目に鮮やかな芝生に覆われて、奈良の春日野の青芝を思わせる。
東漸寺は大和の国より下向して来た縣犬養氏の邸宅跡で、東漸寺の隣にある春日神社も縣犬養邸の敷地内に祀られてたものと伝えられる。
東漸寺が建つ「春日台」と呼ばれる台地の西側には「駒場」の地名が残る。ここに相馬御厨があった。行基の作と伝わる馬頭観世音像は、馬の守護神として安置したのであろう。
東漸寺の観音堂と山門は最近、茨城県指定有形文化財に指定された。
 If you pass through the gate and pass by the blindfolded ginkgo tree, the grounds of the Kannon-do are covered with vivid grass, reminiscent of the green grass of Kasugano in Nara.
It is said that Togakuji is the residence of Mr. Minoru Inukai, who descended from Yamato no Kuni, and the Kasuga Shrine next to Togakuji was also enshrined on the site of Minoru Inu.
The place name of "Komaba" remains on the west side of the plateau called "Kasugadai" where Tokyu Temple is built. There was a Soma kitchen here. The statue of Kanze Kanzeon, which is said to have been created by Gyoki, may have been enshrined as a guardian deity of horses.
The Kannon-do and Sanmon of Tokyu Temple have recently been designated as tangible cultural properties designated by Ibaraki Prefecture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 観音堂というより、こちらの東漸寺さんはよく手入れがされていて気持ちのいい寺域だと思いました。
観音堂や山門などは茨城県有形文化財の指定を受けているようで、こういっては失礼かもしれませんが見どころも多いお寺さんだと感じました。
Rather than Kannon-do, I thought that this Toyoji-san is a well-maintained and comfortable temple area.
Kannon-do and Sanmon seem to have been designated as tangible cultural properties of Ibaraki Prefecture, and although it may be rude, I felt that it was a temple with many attractions.
