ここは「おやくっさん」と呼ばれる薬師庵であることがわかりました。
現在はご近所の岡本寺が管理をされているそうです。
平安時代、医療の神様である薬師如来の信仰が盛んになり
平野町の湯屋役達は薬師如来をお祀りする「薬師庵」を建立したのが
この薬師庵の始まりなのだそうです(^^)/
この庵には尼僧さんがおられたのですが、
亡くなられてからは守る者がいなくなって、庵は傷んでいきましたが
近所の方々の努力や寄付によって昭和５４年に再建されたそうです
江戸時代、平野温泉で医者をしていた苧蘿山人（ちょらさんじん）の墓石が岡本寺にあります。
