★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桑名藩が柏崎刈羽を納めていた時に陣屋を置いていたところ。建物が取り壊されてしまったのが残念。
The place where the Jinya was placed when the Kuwana domain paid Kashiwazaki Kariwa. It's a pity that the building has been demolished.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 道路沿いの建物に案内板が張られてますが、実際の石碑は少し奥に入ったところにあります。柏崎は元々桑名藩飛び地で陣屋が置かれていました。幕末北越戊辰戦争のおり、松平定敬が柏崎に入り旧幕府軍と新政府軍は激しい攻防戦を繰り広げます。やがて新政府軍が柏崎入りし、柏崎は維新後柏崎県となり陣屋は県庁となりますが、最終的には新潟県に統合されました。
Information boards are put up on the buildings along the road, but the actual stone monument is a little deeper. Kashiwazaki originally had a camp in the excursion of the Kuwana Domain. During the Battle of Hokuetsu at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, Sadaaki Matsudaira entered Kashiwazaki, and the former Shogunate army and the new government army fought a fierce battle. Eventually, the new government army entered Kashiwazaki, Kashiwazaki became Kashiwazaki Prefecture after the restoration, and Jinya became the prefectural office, but it was eventually integrated into Niigata Prefecture.
