名棟梁と誉れの高い4代目宗吉善則は柿崎町相沢彦作の三男。新町(西本町3)篠田家に婿入、修業熱心で腕前も上達、余芸に俳句をたしなみ大宇と号した。
建立した社寺は、柏崎では番神堂・妙行寺・閻魔堂・光円寺・八坂神 社・宮川神社などがあり、刈羽村の東福院、京都の東本願寺のほか高田、出雲崎、北海道にもある。
晩年は函館高竜寺本堂を建立した。その時の副棟梁 は沢田吉平、彫刻は原篤三郎、金子九郎次、石工は小林群鳳ほか多数の職人 が活躍し、柏崎で木材を刻み北前船で運んだ。一行は本堂完成に心血を注ぎ 竣工式は感慨無量であったと推測される。
名棟梁宗吉を讃える一節は柏崎の 民謡三階節にあり、その顕彰碑は八坂神社に建つ。

The fourth generation Yoshinori Muneyoshi, who is highly regarded as a master building, is the third son of Hikosawa Aizawa, Kakizaki-cho. He joined the Shinoda family in Shinmachi (Nishihonmachi 3), was enthusiastic about his training, and improved his skill.
The shrines and temples that were built are Kashiwazaki, Banjindo, Myogyoji, Enmadou, Koenji, Yasaka Shrine, and Miyagawa Shrine. There is also.
In the latter years, he built the main hall of Hakodate Koryuji Temple. At that time, the sub-ridge was Yoshihei Sawada, the sculpture was Atsaburo Hara, Kuroji Kaneko, the mason was Gunba Kobayashi, and many other craftsmen were active. The group devoted their hearts to the completion of the main hall. It is speculated that the completion ceremony was inexorable.
The verse that celebrates the famous building Sōkichi is located on the third floor of the folk song in Kashiwazaki, and the honorable monument is located at Yasaka Shrine.
