★ ★ ★ ★ ★ もとは熊野神社の境内にあった石仏で凝灰岩の石棺材を利用した石棺仏である。総高一．一五メートル下幅〇．六〇メートルの舟形をつくり蓮華座をもつ半肉彫りで、右手をあげて施無畏印、左手胸前にて薬壺を捧げる如来像である。像の周囲にある十五の梵字は薬師曼荼羅をあらわし、作風から見て室町時代の造立である。【出典：『史跡の道・説明石板』（八尾郷土文化推進協議会・八尾市教育委員会、1985年）】
 Originally a stone Buddha in the precincts of Kumano Shrine, it is a sarcophagus made from tuff sarcophagus. Total height 1. 15 meters below width 〇. It is a half-flesh carved with a lotus position and a 60-meter boat shape. It is a statue of Nyorai who raises his right hand and offers a jar of medicine in front of his chest. The fifteen Sanskrit characters around the statue represent the Yakushi Mandala, which was built during the Muromachi period in terms of style.
