★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東急田園都市線～梶ケ谷駅。普段は下車することもありませんが、この日(2019.1.24)午前、二子新地駅にて起きた事故により梶ケ谷駅～用賀駅間が運休。
多くの乗客は徒歩で隣の溝の口駅へと足早に向かう途中、私もこちらの地蔵堂の前を通りかかりました。
先行きの状況も分からず気持ちが急いてとても不安な中、優しく温かなこちらの一画、ホッとするような心持ちになれました。慌てることなく、状況に従いながらこの先の道中を迂回、目的地まで安全に辿り着くようにと心に余裕をお与え下さいましたのも、こちらのお地蔵さま。私共を優しさで導いて下さいました。
このお堂を維持管理、お世話なされている皆さま方、ありがとうございました。
後から知りましたが、この道は…
江戸時代の大山街道(矢倉沢往還)～江戸の赤坂御門を起点に多摩川を渡り、二子、溝口を経て、馬絹、荏田、伊勢原、矢倉沢へ至るという大山詣りの道だったのですね。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昔、子供を授からない夫婦が四国八十八ヶ所を巡拝して、子供を授かったのでお礼に地蔵尊を建立しました。12年ごとに開帳される「都筑橘樹酉年地蔵」の第18番札所にあたります。平成5年（1993年）、酉年の御開帳にあわせて新しいお堂がつくられました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 梶谷駅から徒歩で5～6分の場所に有る。今回は大山街道の史跡ルートで訪問。標識によると子育て地蔵は、いわば「子授け地蔵でもある。昔、西国巡礼から戻った村人が、子を授かったお礼に建てたという。地元の方々が講を作って守りつづけ、今も、子授けを願う人の姿がみえる。
