★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 叡尊が西大寺の鎮守社として1242年に三輪から少彦名命を勧請したと伝わり、呪薬法会などに奉祀されてきた。道路を挟んで西大寺東門前に鎮座されている本殿は、正面に階段を設けず一面に床を張る見世棚造となっており、簡素な建物だが、古式な祠で室町中期（15世紀）の建造物と見られており、奈良市の指定文化財となっている。なお、1982年に保存修理が行われ、瓦葺から桧皮葺に戻されたそうだ。
21/11/09、西大寺愛染堂でのご本尊・愛染明王ご開帳に合わせて西大寺を参拝し、帰りには道沿いからお詣りした。
残念なのは前に立っている説明板が劣化していることだ。
 It is said that Eison solicited the name of Sukunahikona from Miwa in 1242 as the guardian shrine of Saidaiji Temple, and it has been enshrined in the curse law society. The main shrine, which is enshrined in front of the east gate of Saidaiji across the road, is a simple building with a floor on one side without stairs in front, but it is an old-fashioned shrine in the middle of Muromachi (15th century). It is considered to be a building and is a designated cultural property of Nara City. In 1982, it was preserved and repaired, and it was returned from the tiled roof to the bark roof.
On 21/11/09, I visited Saidaiji Temple in line with the opening of the principal idol, Aizen Myo, at Saidaiji Aizen-do, and on the way back, I visited the temple.
Unfortunately, the explanation board standing in front has deteriorated.
