There are two routes to the summit. Pay an entrance fee of 200 yen and go through private land or walk over a forest road over an iron fence. No fee will be collected for walking on the forest road. Just be aware that off-road bikes occasionally run through. The scenery is better in Ikedanomori Park.

Although the mountain trail is easy to understand at the beginning, there is no signboard from the middle stage and it is not a well-maintained road, so I think that those who have no mountain climbing experience will be quite anxious whether the route is correct. The road itself is easy, so don't miss the marks such as tapes attached to the trees. It takes less than 20 minutes to reach the top of the mountain and climb the wooden observatory for a magnificent view. I didn't know that there was such a beautiful night view in Tokai. I like myself better than the night view of Hakodate. Be aware of the new charm of the local area. The way back is still difficult to understand, so be careful. When I went down by car, I found many cars in Ikedanomori Park, which is a little below. Apparently, I could see the magnificent view without walking from here. I would like to give a minus 5 points to the unkindness of the tourist association, but since the spectacular view was 10 points, I will give it 5 points.

I climbed from Ikeno station to the summit via Kasumagaki and Ikeda no Mori. There was a difference in altitude and it was difficult. It was a gentle climb from there to the top of the main ridge. Don't be silly ❗ If you go a little along the forest road and climb 5 meters to the side, there is a road, and if you climb from there, the private land boundary will appear and you will avoid the private land. It takes about 5 minutes to reach the summit and the observatory. On the way back, there is a road down to the Ikeda side, and you will reach a forest road. On the way, I was satisfied with the pleasant mountain climbing, but the toll made me feel sick.
