★ ★ ★ ★ ★ このお寺を目にした瞬間、白くて綺麗という印象を持ちます。
解説板によると、福寿山と号する曹洞宗の寺院で、本尊は阿弥陀如来立像。開山は御堂阿闍梨と伝えられ、中興開山は月山機法であるとの事。
古くは無量山福寿庵という浄土系の松庵でしたが、江戸時代、享和年間もしくは宝永年間以前には同じ杉並区の観泉寺持になっていたと考えられています。
本尊の阿弥陀如来立像は鎌倉時代の作です。
このお寺の善福寺がこの辺の地名の由来になるのかと思っていたのですが、違うようで元の善福寺は江戸時代に善福寺池のほとりにあったお寺が地震による災害にあい、廃寺となってしまいました。
でも善福寺という地名がずっと残ったので現在のこちらのお寺が地名に合わせて昭和17年(1942年)に善福寺と改名しました。

According to the commentary board, it is a temple of Soto sect called Fukujuzan, and the main shrine is Amitabyo Nyorai. Kaizan is said to be Midori Arisu, and Chuko Kaizan is the Tsukiyama machine method.
In the old days, it was a Jodo matsutake mushroom called Mugenyama Fukujuen, but it is thought that it was owned by Kansenji Temple in the same Suginami Ward before the Kyowa or Hoei years in the Edo period.
The main statue of Amida Nyorai is from the Kamakura period.
I was wondering if Zenpukuji of this temple would be the origin of the place name of this area, but it seems to be different, the original Zenpukuji was located on the banks of Zenpukuji Pond in the Edo period, and it was destroyed by an earthquake and became an abandoned temple I ended up.
However, the place name of Zenpukuji remained for a long time, so this temple was renamed Zenpukuji in 1942 according to the place name.

7／4 には多くの僧侶を集めて施食会、7/13 には合同盆供養が営まれる。
Cherry blossoms are wonderful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 善福寺は町名だけだと思ってましたが、実際にあったのですね。綺麗な近代的な外観。私の好みとしては、侘び寂びを感じられるもう少し情緒あるお寺が良かったかな？！でも、お寺の名前だけでも、幸せになれそうです！ありがとう。
I thought that Zenpukuji was just a town name, but it actually happened. Beautiful modern appearance. As for my taste, wouldn't it be nice to have a more emotional temple where you can feel wabi-sabi? !! But the name of the temple alone seems to make me happy! Thank you.

綺麗なお寺でした。
