★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maple bacon doughnuts — you’ve got to be kidding me. Bacon in a maple doughnut. Talk about something that will change your life. I was blown away when I first discovered Zarame in the basement of Matsuzakaya, I was amazed by their delicacies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for coffee, espresso, doughnuts and sweets. Brooklyn Lager and IPA in bottles. Hip vibe. The food is just OK, though, and the service can be a little slow if it gets even just a little busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great breakfast (rarity in Nagoya) when it's open. Would be good if they could better communicate which days and times they'll be open as we've found them closed between their supposed hours of operation previously. Delicious donuts and pancakes when it's open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Maybe it's because I went later in the day, but, both the coffee and (very tough) doughnut left something to be desired. The staff were very kind and attentive, but I don't see myself returning anytime soon .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place to relax, eat, drink and talk after exploring the local area. Be aware it can get very busy during weekends and festivals. Good affordable cafe food, some unusual craft beers if you’re the sort of heathen who drinks beer in a cafe like I am, and great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a nice place to relax after seeing the nearby temple and attractions. The atmosphere was so nice and inviting. The staff were good. The food was fantastic. The doughnuts they have are nice. Great place. I liked how the staff were quick and responsive when I had a question or simply wanted some more water.
