★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whether you're a regular or a foreign visitor wondering whether to try this uniquely Japanese experience, I'd thoroughly recommend this onsen.
The lady on reception was delightful and spoke just about enough English (considerably more than my Japanese). 500¥ entrance.
Three or four indoor pools of differing temperatures and a lovely outside area with trees and pools, several areas for taking the waters and relaxing.
The day I went there were about 40 or so guys - ranging from 20s to 70s so nobody would feel out of place.
Usual onsen rules apply, nudity, thorough washing and rinsing before entering the water, no towels in water, etc.
Slightly tricky to get to/find for a foreign visitor without transport. It's about 30 mins walk from town or bus 28 seems to go every half hour from both JR and Kintetsu stations - stop is Daianji-Nishi-2-Chome.
On foot it's quite easy to find on Google maps. From JR station follow Kawasakicho (main road outside the station) southwards for about 15 minutes then turn right at some lights by a large tyre supplier on the right.
Outside it's not marked in English and looks like a hotel/municipal building on a parking lot. It can be recognised from the photos however.
Try it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place to relax away the evening.
The indoor area has a jacuzzi that helped my tense lower back with its strong pressure. The hot spring has an outdoor retemboru, where the chilly air is less stuffy and you can breathe easy as you soak.
And after a good soak, there's food and beer. Good for the night.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice onsen a bit far from town.
Many choice of bath in men's part, from 19 to 42 Celsius. Sauna and Hamam. Outside also with iron water bath. They rent towels.
Everything can be ordered on the vending machine all in Japanese so the staff can kindly help if you don't read the language.
Large choice of snack and beverage when exiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice Onsen. They have water nozzles and a hot tub outside. Moreover, there is sauna and a waterfall shower outside. The place is clean and comfortable as well. Everything is in Japanese, but the staff is kind and eager to help.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Free parking and a large lot, tons of places to eat, things to do nearby, it's an entertainment section of the city, with pachinko, restaurants, karaoke. Foot lockers aren't coin operated but the clothes lockers in the changing rooms are, someone forgot their ¥100 coin so I was able to use it and left it for whoever comes next.
The receptionist was very kind. They use vending machines to buy the admission ticket and she pointed out the towel rental button as well. People do bring their own toiletries and they have shelves for them in the women's bath, but they also supply body wash and all in one shampoo/rinse/conditioner (which smelled like melons when I went in August over Obon). In the changing room they have free hair brushes and hair dryers with the most amazing cool dry turbo setting ever and tissues, no cotton swabs/q-tips. They have hair ties at the reception desk.
Good mix of ages in the women's bath at 10pm, mostly skewing older, there was one child so they're allowed. They had so many different types of baths and massage jets!! They had at least 4 saunas including a salt scrub, one I've never seen before (I tried it but it was hell on my bug bites - they have a shower right outside so you can rinse off).
The outdoor area was fantastic, you can watch TV in one section, or look at the neighboring buildings light display at night (it resembles fireworks) they even have 2 "waterfalls" if you want to try to become a monk and meditate under them.
The washing area has both typical stools and a long stone bench, which was really cool to me. The common area is very big, with a tatami section and normal tables. They have ice cream, coffee, lates, sports drinks, and of course the coldest freshest milk for only ¥140. There's also a restaurant you order from using a vending machine, they seem to close sometime around 11 or a little before. I'd definitely come here again if I'm in the area, and I recommend it to anyone else.
