★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 城崎温泉〔湯の山公園〕に〔芭蕉堂〕が建っており、その前に芭蕉句碑がある。
旅人と我名よはれん初しくれ 芭蕉
句碑を取り巻くのは、近くの玄武洞などで見られる〔安山岩〕と思われる。芭蕉堂を覗くと芭蕉の木像が鎮座していた。この木像は豊岡市の〔瑞峰寺〕にあったもの。

The monument surrounding the monument seems to be [andesite] seen in nearby Genbu-dong. When I looked into the temple, I found a oak tree statue. This wooden statue was in [Zuiho-ji Temple] in Toyooka City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ とてもわかりづらい場所です。
鞄屋さんの「さくら咲くら」さんと「ひらい鮮魚」さんの間の狭い路地の奥に石段があり、「湯の山公園登り口」と記されています。
この階段を登ると狭いスペースに小屋のような「芭蕉堂」があり、松尾芭蕉の木像をガラス越しに見ることができます。
また、芭蕉堂の前に句碑があり、
「旅人と 我名よばれん 初しぐれ 芭蕉」
という、芭蕉の有名な俳句が彫られています。
芭蕉堂の左手、少し高いところにあるのは秋葉大権現の御堂です。
公園、とは言いながらかなり狭くてあまり眺望はよくありません。むかしは温泉街を見下ろせる場所だったのかも。

There is a stone staircase in the back of the narrow alley between "Sakura Sakikura" and "Hirai Fresh Fish" of the bag shop, and it is written as "Yunoyama Park Climbing Exit".
If you climb this stairs, you will find a hut-like "Basho-do" in a small space, and you can see the wooden statue of Matsuo Basho through the glass.
In addition, there is a monument in front of Basho-do,
"Traveler and My Name Yobaren First Shigure Basho"
Basho's famous haiku is engraved.
To the left of Basho-do, a little higher is Akiha Gongen's Mido.
Although it is a park, it is quite small and the view is not so good. Once upon a time, it might have been a place overlooking the hot spring town.
