南会津は江戸時代を通じて、そのほとんどが蔵入地(天領)でした。そんな来歴も影響しているのか、この地では農村歌舞伎が隆盛を極め、明治時代の記録には福島県下に当時あった47カ所の歌舞伎舞台のうちの37カ所もが、山深いこの地に集中していたとあります。
ただ、そんな歌舞伎舞台もほとんどが今日までに失われてしまい、いまも残るのはわずかに３つ。檜枝岐村にある「桧枝岐の舞台」と南会津町(旧•伊南村)にある「大桃の舞台」、そしてもう一つがこの南会津町(旧•舘岩村)の「湯ノ花の舞台」です。
国の重要有形民俗文化財にも登録されている前の二者に比べると、現在は芝居が行われることもないこの舞台では訪れる人影を見ることもまれですが、それだけに南会津に息づいていた山村文化の残照を、より深く静かに感じることができる場所なのかもしれません。

Most of Minamiaizu was a brewery (Tenryo) throughout the Edo period. Perhaps because of such a history, rural Kabuki has become extremely prosperous in this area, and 37 of the 47 Kabuki stages that existed in Fukushima Prefecture at that time were recorded in the Meiji era, which is deep in the mountains. It is said that he was concentrating on.
However, most of the Kabuki stages have been lost to this day, and there are only three left. The "Hinoemata Stage" in Hinoemata Village, the "Omomo Stage" in Minamiaizu Town (formerly Ina Village), and the "Yunohana Stage" in Minamiaizu Town (formerly Tateiwa Village).
Compared to the former two, which are also registered as national important tangible folk cultural properties, it is rare to see people visiting on this stage, where plays are not currently held, but Yamamura was alive in Minamiaizu. It may be a place where you can feel the afterglow of culture deeper and quieter.
I visited by Cycle Rogainning, but I was looking for a place to visit because it was difficult to understand.
