★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, the zoo is free of charge but don't expect too much. At the end it's not a professional zoo and the animals are not kept in best conditions.
Good for a first time animal experience but I feel a little sorry for them. I'd rather pay some fee and have them in a more real life environment and not just in dirty, rusty cages.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice view around Shin-Kawasaki. The zoo is free of charge and with cute animals like ?, ?, ?, ?, ? and more. Unique is that right behind the pinguins zone you can see the temple. There is a huge park with lots of space to run around for your kids and a tree tunnel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small Zoo in mid of Kawasaki city. Very few animals, but free entry & free parking are it's attractive points. Adjacent park also make it attractive picnic spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a good free zoo on a hill. It very small but public zoo. Medium and herbivorous animals are here. There are small bud good park by it. Good place to enjoying family!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It only has a few animals ? ? ? ? ?️ , birds ? ? ? ? and reptiles ? ... But it's free! Great place to bring young kids who might not have seen many animals in real life. After the excitement of seeing the animals they can play in the tiny park area while the parents relax on some seating.
Besides the animals there are also a variety of temples, plenty of vending machines (included different パン ? and ice cream ?), at least 3 toilets buildings, and a sculpture.
All of this and it's on a hill with some great views of the surrounding city ?️.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a small zoo on top of a hill, surrounded by playgrounds and small parks. It was better than I thought it would be. Many have special conditions: rescued animals, birds lacking a functioning wing, illegally brought into the country as pets, and could not be released into the wild or sent to a bigger zoo with more funding.
This place is certainly worth a visit especially for those living nearby.
