★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 久しぶりに訪れましたが、小さくて品のある素敵な美術館です。萬と関わりのある画家の作品やエピソードが時系列に並ぶ企画展も、素晴らしかった。東和町はいつ行っても町に落ち着きがあり好きなのですが、この美術館の存在が大きいのではないでしょうか。
 It's been a long time since I visited, but it's a nice small and elegant museum. The special exhibition in which the works and episodes of painters related to Man are lined up in chronological order was also wonderful. I like Towa-cho because it's always calm, but I think this museum has a big presence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ カフェモンタン展にお邪魔しました。大きくはないですが落ち着いて見られます。建物自体に看板がなくてほんとに記念館ここなのかな?と少しびっくりしました。
I visited the Cafe Montan exhibition. It's not big, but you can see it calmly. I was a little surprised that there was no signboard on the building itself and it was really a memorial hall.

Tatsuya Miyanishi exhibition is being held! I'm grateful for the picture books I don't know yet. There is a photo spot in the next warehouse. I think your child will be happy too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 東和町にあります。観光地としては弱く萬鉄五郎記念美術館がメインになっています。高台の丘にひっそりと建っていますね。萬鉄五郎って？わかりません…でも何となく岩手県立美術館で名前を見たことが有ったような…とりあえず行ってみました。油絵、水彩画、水墨画と色々と絵画を楽しめますが好きでない方にはオススメ出来ないかな？興味が無く行ってみましたが悪くない時間を過ごしました。
Located in Towa Town. The main tourist destination is the Yorozutetsugoro Memorial Museum. It stands quietly on a hill on a hill. What is Tetsugoro Yorozu? I don't know ... but somehow I've seen the name at the Iwate Museum of Art ... I went there for the time being. You can enjoy various paintings such as oil painting, watercolor painting, and ink painting, but can you recommend it to those who do not like it? I went there without any interest, but I had a good time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 友人と家内どの三人でしばらくぶりの訪問、友人の知人の個展を見るのが目的でしたが偶々モンタン企画展は昔アルバイトした時代を思い出し懐かしさが込み上げてきました。
The purpose was to visit my friend and my wife for the first time in a while, and to see a solo exhibition of a friend's acquaintance, but by chance the Montan special exhibition reminded me of the time when I had a part-time job, and I felt nostalgic.

１階は企画展で、２階は萬鉄五郎の常設展です。１階のボリュームのほうが大きいです。
隣接の「八丁土蔵」は萬鉄五郎の生家を移設した建物です。無料のミニ展示場と喫茶店があります。
館内撮影禁止です(土蔵の展示作品は撮影可)。
無料駐車場があります。

The first floor is a special exhibition, and the second floor is a permanent exhibition of Tetsugoro Yorozu. The volume on the first floor is larger.
The adjacent "Haccho Dozo" is a building where the birthplace of Tetsugoro Yorozu was relocated. There is a free mini exhibition hall and a coffee shop.
It is prohibited to take pictures in the hall (you can take pictures of the works exhibited in the dozo).
Free parking is available.

Tetsugoro Yorozu was born here in Towa Town and was a Western-style painter in the Taisho era who spent his later years in Chigasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is known that he preferred to use the contrast between red and green as a feature of his work. Because this museum is small, you can enjoy it quietly.
